Non-Resident Nepali Association – National Coordination Council, the Netherlands (NRNA-NCC, NL)
Love and dedication to motherland and fellow citizens provide us a sense of satisfaction. Nepali anywhere in the world irrespective of profession wants to contribute to the socio-economic development and welfare of Nepal. Every Nepali represents Nepal abroad.
Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) aims to foster closer relationship and cooperation among the Non Resident Nepal (NRN) communities spread all over the world and also between the NRN community and Nepal. The Association shall always strive to contribute to the overall development of Nepal. It represents and promotes the interests of Nepali both in Nepal and abroad.
Non-Resident Nepali refers to both people of Nepali origin who have acquired foreign citizenship and people who currently hold Nepali passport and are living outside India and Bhutan for a period of more than 182 days. The NRNA is guided by the motto of ‘by Nepali for Nepali’. Its objectives are to:
- Generate support for the socio-economic development of Nepal within and outside the country
- Facilitate its members and prospective agencies in mobilizing various resources including NRN talents and expertise for investments in Nepal
- Nurture closer cooperation among the NRN communities spread around the globe
- Function as a trans-national forum for the promotion and protection of the interests of the NRN communities both in Nepal and abroad.
The National Coordination Council (NCC) of the NRNA in Netherlands, formed in December 2005, is officially registered in the Netherlands according to the Dutch Law. Its current Executive Committee of 13 members was formed in February 2008. There are more than 150 active members of this org. in the Netherland. It works closely with other organizations working for Nepal in the Netherlands.
NRN-NCC, NL appeals to all Nepali living and working in the Netherlands and friends of Nepal to join hands in making Nepal and its fellow citizens prosperous.
